Welcome to the Privacy Policy page for JustPhone. At ZenByte Studio, we are fully committed to protecting your privacy and security. The JustPhone application is designed as a Kiosk Launcher (device locker) that operates locally on your device with maximum privacy.

Important Statement: The JustPhone app DOES NOT collect, transmit, share, or upload any data from your device to the internet or our external servers.

1. Data Collection & Storage

All configurations and preferences in the JustPhone application are stored locally within your device's secure storage (`SharedPreferences`). This local data includes:

  • Administrator PIN: Stored as a local encrypted hash to secure access to the admin settings panel.
  • Allowed Applications: A collection of package names allowed by the admin to be displayed on the home screen.
  • Language Preferences: Your preferred language setting (Indonesian or English).
  • Lockout State & Attempts: Record of failed PIN login attempts for the temporary lockout system if the incorrect PIN is entered repeatedly.

2. Required Device Permissions

To ensure the Kiosk Mode (device lockdown) functions optimally, JustPhone requires the following Android system permissions:

QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES

Used to retrieve the list of all installed applications on your phone, allowing the administrator to choose which apps the user (child/employee) is permitted to run.

SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW (Draw over other apps)

Permission to draw on top of other apps. This is required for the PIN lock screen to appear on top of other apps and prevent users from bypassing the lock.

DEVICE_ADMIN / DEVICE_OWNER (Device Administrator Privileges)

Used exclusively to run the Lock Task (Kiosk Mode) feature to block the notification bar, disable navigation buttons (home, recent apps, back), and prevent the app from being force-closed.

3. No Internet Access

In the JustPhone application's manifest file, the internet permission (`android.permission.INTERNET`) is NOT registered. Without this permission, the Android system guarantees that JustPhone cannot access the internet. Therefore, data leakage outside the device is technically impossible through this app.

4. Local Data Security

We protect your data by storing it in the private application sandboxed storage, which cannot be accessed by other third-party apps unless your device is rooted.

5. Children's Privacy

JustPhone is often used for parental control purposes. We do not process or collect any personally identifiable information from anyone, including children.
